Op zondag 5 mei had de Christadelphiaanse gemeenschap in België een unieke boodschap te brengen, een uniek lied te zingen, een unieke daad van liefde te geven.
Met trots en vol vreugde in ons hart mochten we enkele maanden na de start van de nieuwe ecclesia in Anderlecht, al de eerste dopen mee maken. Na enkele maanden van doorgedreven studie kon er een succesvol interview afgelegd worden en was het uiteindelijk zo ver dat wij drie nieuwe broeders in onze gemeenschap mochten opnemen.

Geleidelijk aan stroomde het volk binnen vanaf 10.30. Aan sfeer ontbrak het zeker niet. Leuk was ook dat velen zich in het rood-wit hadden gekleed als symbool voor het bloed van Christus en de witwassing of zuivering door doop.
Broeder Marcus Ampe mocht als ouderling de honneurs waar nemen en de dienst leiden. Dit terwijl de familie Belanwa fantastisch goed voor de uitgebreide maaltijd had gezorgd.
On Sunday May the 5th the Christadelphian community in Belgium had a unique message to deliver, a unique song to sing, a unique act of love to bestow.
With pride and joy in our hearts, a few months after the start of the new ecclesia in Anderlecht, we were able to witness the first baptisms. After a few months of intensive study, we were able to have a successful interview and were finally able to welcome three new brothers into our community.
Early in the morning, a large pool awaited the christening candidates.
Gradually the crowd poured in from 10.30. There was certainly no lack of atmosphere. It was also nice that many had dressed in red and white to symbolise the blood of Christ and the whitewashing or purification by baptism.
Brother Marcus was allowed to do the honours as an elder and lead the service. This while the Belanwa family had taken fantastic care of the elaborate meal.

C’est avec fierté et joie dans nos cœurs que, quelques mois après le début de la nouvelle ecclésia à Anderlecht, nous avons pu assister aux premiers baptêmes. Après quelques mois d’études intensives, nous avons pu avoir un entretien réussi et avons finalement pu accueillir trois nouveaux frères dans notre communauté.
Tôt le matin, une grande piscine attendait les candidats au baptême.
Peu à peu, les gens affluèrent à partir de 10h30. L’atmosphère ne manquait certainement pas. C’était aussi agréable que beaucoup s’habillaient de rouge et de blanc comme symbole du sang du Christ et du blanchiment ou de la purification par le baptême.
En tant qu’aîné, frère Marcus a été autorisé à faire les honneurs et à diriger le service. Alors que la famille Belanwa avait fantastiquement bien fourni le repas copieux.
Certaines des personnes présentes, tandis que d’autres y faisaient encore face et à l’extérieur.

2024 bracht ons niet enkel het begin van een nieuw jaar. Het was ook het punt waar enkele mensen elkaar de hand gaven en te kennen gaven dat zij samen in een broederschap wensten te stappen.
Op 6 januari 2024 konden wij ons verheugen dat er in Anderlecht de start werd gegeven om een ecclesia te vormen en om van daaruit samen op weg te gaan om de Enige Ware God beter te leren kennen en te dienen.
Hier treffen we vandaag mensen aan die besloten hebben om met ons opreis te gaan. Zij willen de reis ondernemen die hen naar meer vrijheid en zekerheid in het leven brengt, ook al beseffen sommigen nog niet volledig welke vrijheid en zegeningen hen te wachten staan als zij er in slagen om die reis te voleindigen.
Om zich naar dat eindpunt te begeven waar God ons graag zou zien toekomen, zullen wij heel wat bergen moeten beklimmen en vele dalen kruisen. Soms zou het kunnen dat het zweet en tranen zal vergen. Maar vandaag vinden wij hier reisvaardige mensen die gepakt en gezakt met hun levenservaringen reislustig zijn, en met hun medereizigers hun ervaringen willen delen.
Ze mogen zich verwachten aan een heel rijke, maar niet altijd even gemakkelijke expeditie. Maar omdat we met meerderen zijn, zullen we elkaar kunnen helpen en over de moeilijkste kliffen en diepste wateren heen kunnen helpen.
Men heeft dienstreizen, plezierreizen, speelreizen, kermisreizen, snoepreisjes, dagreizen, nachtreizen, verlofreizen, vakantiereizen, kunstreizen, gezelschapsreizen, zomerreizen, winterreizen, land en zeereizen. Onze reis is zo wat alles van dat, terwijl we mogen toezien op een heuse ontdekkingstocht en onderzoekingsreis.
Tezamen gaan we op weg om God beter te leren kennen. Hiertoe zullen we handig gebruik maken van de Gids Die Hij zelf voorzien heeft. Zijn Woord, neergeschreven in de Bijbel, is namelijk onze beste begeleider, waarvan we in de komende weken en maanden dan ook goed gebruik zullen van maken.
Zoals een reiziger of reizigster reisgoed, pakkage of bagage mee neemt, neemt eenieder hier aanwezig ook zijn ballast of pakgoed mee. Iedereen heeft wel wat dingen mee gemaakt in het leven, die aangenaam, maar ook zeer onaangenaam kunnen geweest zijn. Elk van ons heeft wel eens dingen uitgespookt die niet zo koosjer zijn. Niet alles wat we doen is namelijk volgens de wensen van de Goddelijke Schepper. Tijdens onze pelgrimstocht zullen wij tijd genoeg krijgen om na te denken wat God wil, te mediteren en om aan onszelf te werken.
Mits dat we niet over één dag ijs zullen lopen, moeten we durven de tijd nemen om onszelf terug in de juiste plooien te laten leggen. Alle plooien moeten worden glad gestreken.
Het komt er op aan tijdens onze lange reis, (bedevaart of pelgrimstocht) ons oude ik uiteindelijk kwijt te spelen en een nieuwe ik aan te doen. Op het einde van de rit moeten we ons, gezuiverd van alle blaam, aan God kunnen aanbieden. Tussendoor zullen misschien enkelen wel al besluiten dat ze rijp zijn om het “water van het leven” in te gaan en God te vragen hen “wit te wassen” zodat zij verlost mogen worden van hun vroegere zonden, om zo gereinigd, de belangrijke reis verder te zetten. Want dat doopsel is niet een eindpunt maar wel een beginpunt van een nieuw leven, waarbij de dopeling besloten heeft om volledig volgens de wil van God te leven.
Dat doopsel is dan een doortocht door de Rietzee (Schelfzee of Rode zee) waarbij Gods Volk ook bevrijd werd uit de slavernij. Maar zoals we in de Schrift kunnen lezen hebben zij daarna toch nog enkele keren de verkeerde richting ingeslagen en dingen gedaan die God niet zinden. Dat kan ons ook overkomen. Hiervoor moeten we opletten en elkaar ondersteunen.
Zodra we iemand zien afwijken moeten we deze terug de juiste weg naar het Pad wijzen. Allen samen moeten zoals in de eerste eeuwen de volgelingen van Jezus “De Weg” volgen. Hiertoe zullen de regelmatige bijeenkomsten een steun in de rug zijn. Maar dat zal niet voldoende zijn. Ieder persoon zal zelf ook initiatieven moeten nemen en dagelijks de schrift moeten onderzoeken. Zonder regelmatige Bijbellezing en Bijbelstudie zal de weg heel wat moeilijker af te leggen zijn.
Als wij ons bereid tonen om naar Gods Woord te luisteren zal Hij ook bereid zijn om naar ons te luisteren. Dan is de tijd aangebroken dat we met Hem in gesprek kunnen gaan. Zo zullen wij ook samen regelmatig met God in gesprek treden, door onze, gebeden, verzoeken, lofprijzingen en liederen.
Hopelijk zullen we op onze trektocht nog meer verdwaalden kunnen aanspreken en hen met ons mee laten gaan naar een punt waar het heerlijk toeven zal zijn.
Allen die er zullen in slagen om de pelgrimstocht te beëindigen zullen met een gerust hart tevreden mogen terugkijken naar wat ze onderweg allemaal als ballast hebben mogen achterlaten. Bevrijd van al die lasten zullen ze met velen een nieuw leven mogen binnen stappen om samen op weg te gaan naar en door die smalle poort van het Koninkrijk van Christus.
2024 ne nous a pas seulement apporté le début d’une nouvelle année. C’est aussi à ce moment-là que certaines personnes se sont serré la main et ont exprimé leur désir de se joindre à une fraternité.
Le 6 janvier 2024, nous avons pu nous réjouir que le départ ait été donné à Anderlecht pour former une ecclesia et partir ensemble de là, pour mieux connaître et servir le Seul Vrai Dieu.
La troisième semaine de janvier 2024 est le moment de faire le premier pas dans le pèlerinage vers la fondation du Fils de Dieu, l’Église de Dieu.
Un pèlerinage fait référence au fait de se rendre à un endroit pour y prier. En ce qui nous concerne, nous nous sommes mis en route pour une ecclésia des Frères en Christ sous la direction de Jésus-Christ, le fils de Dieu, et avec la bénédiction de son Père céleste, Jéhovah, le Dieu au-dessus de tous les dieux.
Ici, aujourd’hui, nous trouvons des gens qui ont décidé de voyager avec nous. Ils veulent entreprendre le voyage qui les mènera à une plus grande liberté et sécurité dans la vie, même si certains ne réalisent pas encore pleinement la liberté et les bénédictions qui les attendent s’ils réussissent à terminer ce voyage.
Pour arriver à ce point d’arrivée où Dieu voudrait que nous arrivions, nous devrons gravir de nombreuses montagnes et traverser de nombreuses vallées. Parfois, il faut de la sueur et des larmes. Mais aujourd’hui, nous trouvons ici des gens qui ont envie de voyager, et qui ont envie de voyager avec leurs expériences de vie, et qui veulent partager leurs expériences avec leurs compagnons de voyage. Ils peuvent s’attendre à une expédition très riche, mais pas toujours facile. Mais parce que nous sommes plusieurs, nous pourrons nous entraider et nous entraider sur les falaises les plus difficiles et les eaux les plus profondes.

Ensemble, nous marcherons pour mieux connaître Dieu. À cette fin, nous ferons bon usage du Guide qu’Il a Lui-même fourni. Sa Parole, écrite dans la Bible, est notre meilleure compagne, dont nous ferons bon usage dans les semaines et les mois à venir.
De même qu’un voyageur emporte avec lui des objets de voyage, des bagages ou des bagages, toutes les personnes présentes ici emportent également leur lest ou leurs marchandises d’emballage avec elles. Tout le monde a vécu des choses dans la vie qui peuvent avoir été agréables mais aussi très désagréables. Chacun d’entre nous a fait des choses qui ne sont pas si casher. Au cours de notre pèlerinage, nous aurons tout le temps de réfléchir à ce que Dieu veut, de méditer et de travailler sur nous-mêmes.
Pourvu que l’on ne marche pas sur la glace en un jour, il faut oser prendre le temps de se laisser remettre dans les bons plis. Tous les plis doivent être lissés.
Au cours de notre long voyage (ou pèlerinage), il est important de se débarrasser enfin de notre ancien moi et de revêtir un nouveau moi. En fin de compte, nous devons être capables de nous présenter à Dieu, lavés de tout blâme. Dans l’intervalle, certains peuvent décider qu’ils sont prêts à entrer dans « l’eau de la vie » et demander à Dieu de les « blanchir » afin qu’ils puissent être rachetés de leurs péchés passés, afin d’être purifiés, de continuer l’important voyage. Car ce baptême n’est pas un point final, mais le point de départ d’une vie nouvelle, dans laquelle le baptisé a décidé de vivre pleinement selon la volonté de Dieu.
Ce baptême est alors un passage à travers la mer des Roseaux (ou mer Rouge) où le peuple de Dieu a également été libéré de l’esclavage. Mais comme nous pouvons le lire dans les Écritures, ils sont quand même allés dans la mauvaise direction à quelques reprises et ont fait des choses que Dieu n’aimait pas. Cela peut nous arriver à nous aussi. Pour cela, nous devons être attentifs et nous soutenir les uns les autres.
Dès que nous voyons quelqu’un s’écarter, nous devons lui montrer le bon chemin vers le Chemin. Tous ensemble, comme dans les premiers siècles, les disciples de Jésus doivent suivre « le Chemin ». À cette fin, les réunions régulières seront un coup de main. Mais cela ne suffira pas. Chaque personne devra aussi prendre des initiatives et examiner les Écritures quotidiennement. Sans la lecture et l’étude régulières de la Bible, le chemin sera beaucoup plus difficile.
Si nous sommes prêts à écouter la Parole de Dieu, Il sera prêt à nous écouter. Alors le temps est venu pour nous de Lui parler. De la même manière, nous entrerons régulièrement en dialogue avec Dieu à travers nos prières, nos demandes, nos louanges et nos chants.
J’espère que nous serons en mesure de parler à d’autres personnes perdues lors de notre trek et de les laisser partir avec nous jusqu’à un point où il sera merveilleux de rester.
Tous ceux qui réussiront à terminer le pèlerinage pourront regarder en arrière avec satisfaction ce qu’ils ont pu laisser derrière eux comme lest en cours de route. Libérés de tous ces fardeaux, ils seront autorisés à entrer dans une nouvelle vie avec beaucoup pour marcher ensemble vers et à travers cette porte étroite du Royaume de Christ.
2024 didn’t just bring us the start of a new year. It was also the point where some people shook hands and expressed their desire to join a brotherhood together.
On January 6, 2024, we could rejoice that the start was given in Anderlecht to form an ecclesia and to set off together from there to get to know and serve the One True God better.
The third week of January 2024 is the time to take the first step in the pilgrimage to the foundation of God’s Son, the Church of God.
A pilgrimage refers to going to a place to pray there. In our case, we set out for an ecclesia of Brethren in Christ under the direction of Jesus Christ, the son of God and with the blessing of his Heavenly Father, Jehovah the God above all gods.
Here today we find people who have decided to travel with us. They want to undertake the journey that will bring them to greater freedom and security in life, even if some do not yet fully realise the freedom and blessings that await them if they succeed in completing that journey.
To get to that endpoint where God would like us to arrive, we will have to climb many mountains and cross many valleys. Sometimes it might take sweat and tears. But today we find here people who are eager to travel, and who are eager to travel with their life experiences, and who want to share their experiences with their fellow travellers. They can expect a very rich, but not always easy expedition. But because there are several of us, we will be able to help each other and help over the most difficult cliffs and deepest waters.
There are business trips, pleasure trips, play trips, fairground trips, candy trips, day trips, night trips, leave trips, vacation trips, art trips, company trips, summer trips, winter trips, land and sea trips. Our journey is just about all of that, while we are allowed to oversee a real voyage of discovery and research.
Together we will walk to get to know God better. To this end, we will make good use of the Guide He Himself has provided. His Word, written down in the Bible, is our best companion, which we will make good use of in the coming weeks and months.
Just as a traveller takes travel goods, packing or luggage with him, everyone here present, also takes his ballast or packing goods with him. Everyone has experienced some things in life that can have been pleasant but also very unpleasant. Every one of us has been up to things that aren’t so kosher. Not everything we do is according to the wishes of the Divine Creator. During our pilgrimage, we will have plenty of time to think about what God wants, to meditate and to work on ourselves.
Provided that we are not going to walk over ice in one day, we must dare to take the time to let ourselves be put back in the right folds. All creases need to be smoothed out.
During our long journey (or pilgrimage) it is important to finally get rid of our old self and put on a new self. At the end of the day, we must be able to present ourselves to God, cleared of all blame. In the meantime, some may decide that they are ready to enter into the « water of life » and ask God to “whitewash” them so that they may be redeemed from their past sins, in order to be cleansed, to continue the important journey. For this baptism is not an endpoint, but a starting point of a new life, in which the baptized person has decided to live completely according to the will of God.
That baptism is then a passage through the Reed Sea (or Red Sea) where God’s People were also freed from slavery. But as we can read in Scripture, they still went in the wrong direction a few times and did things that God did not like. That can happen to us too. For this, we need to pay attention and support each other.
As soon as we see someone deviate, we have to show them back the right way to the Path. All together, as in the first centuries, the followers of Jesus must follow « The Way« . To this end, the regular meetings will be a helping hand. But that won’t be enough. Each person will also have to take initiative and examine the scriptures daily. Without regular Bible reading and study, the road will be much more difficult.
If we are willing to listen to God’s Word, He will be willing to listen to us. Then the time has come for us to talk toHim. In the same way, we will regularly enter into dialogue with God through our prayers, requests, praises and songs.
Hopefully, we will be able to talk to more lost people on our trek and let them go with us to a point where it will be wonderful to stay.
All those who will succeed in ending the pilgrimage, will be able to look back with satisfaction at what they have been able to leave behind as ballast along the way. Freed from all these burdens, they will be allowed to step into a new life, with many to walk together to and through that narrow gate of the Kingdom of Christ.
Saturday January 6 was the time. It could be said that the Christadelphian ecclesiae have had a new brother or sister in Belgium.
Méthode Belanwa and his wife have expressed their willingness to provide their living space to build a house church. With their still unbaptised friends, they followed preparations every Sunday evening every Sunday evening to start a baptism soon.
Together they want to form a community of brothers and sisters in Christ and this was the official starting shot this Saturday.
After the welcome and opening prayer, Brother Marcus Ampe gave the youth and Bible reading and discussion of the Creation of the world and the first commission God gave to mankind. Reference was therefore made to the important task that we as Christadelphians should fulfil, showing respect for every living being, be it plant, animal or human.
Then we discussed how we would build our ecclesia in the future and hold services to serve God.
It was made clear that we do not have a worldly governing body or governing body, as the Christian Congregation of Witnesses have their Faithful Slave, and that we are completely independent here in Belgium. We are fortunate to be able to count on the patronage of the English ecclesia in Newbury, which has expressed its willingness to support us further. By the way, they have already done a lot of preparatory work, for the baptisms, when Marcus Ampe had been eliminated for a while for health reasons. Their support is therefore greatly appreciated.
Our independence means that we are also open to anyone from the Christadelphian communities and beyond. By the way, one does not have to be baptised to celebrate services with us. Only are not baptised people, not allowed to participate in the symbols, but they may be present.

Everyone is also invited to read together from the « Sainte Bible Gros Caractères Segond -NEG », which we took as the standard Bible for the service. In addition to this French-language Bible of the « Société Biblique de Genève » (Genfer Bibelgesellschaft), many Bibles were proposed, under which the members of the ecclesia can choose to use for Bible studies. In doing so, we indicated that everyone is free to use any Bible translation for those study moments or beyond.
For the children’s service, the choice was made for « La Bible pour les enfants » published by Mame. But the question was also asked whether a Dutch-language Children’s Bible could also be provided. Brother Marcus had already searched for this before, but had not yet found a solid version that always kept a clear difference between God and Jesus.

The question arose among the women about songs, hymns or anthems, cantiques and gospels in our services. The African men also came forward with their wishes that they like lively music, in which dance also plays a role. Brother Marcus who was a dancer by profession and previously was able to attend services full of dance and lively music in the non-trinitarian Baptist community, had ear for this and assured that if good African and European music could be found, never testifying to the wrong person, we could also use it in the service. Brother Marcus and Steve Robinson assured those present, that in our services we would also use the excellent source of music produced at the Williamsburg Organisation, Christadelphian music organisation, The Northern Christadelphian Choir, and many Australian Christadelphian music groups owned by Brother Marcus al Cd’s. For the music recorded by brother Peter Clausen from Ohio, on mp3 system for the Christadelphian Hymns, we have yet to find a French version.
In any case, I now also have the music of Joel Lwaga of which we will use his « You are the Way » at our next meeting.
It was also quoted that, as in the other ecclesiae that Brother Marcus is going for, he will also regularly open the service with some Psalm, as there.
Furthermore, it was indicated that in our independence how to perform the service, and without a fixed order, our services will not always run the same, but different sequences may be followed. By the way, that variation keeps the whole thing fresh and makes it adaptable to the events of the day.
Subsequently, it was discussed how to work towards the upcoming baptisms and where and how we would let them take place. It was agreed to check whether we could use the church of the Philadelphia faith community or the Free Protestant Church in Anderlecht on a Saturday afternoon in February. That would be the most ideal if we could use a baptismal basin in such a church building without idols. In case this would not work, it was proposed to have baptism in a public swimming pool or in a bath, provided it will still be too cold for a pond or water outside.
We were able to conclude that everyone was very enthusiastic about the start of the ecclesia, as well as the good prospects of soon welcoming several members and baptised people into our community.
Steve Robinson then gave the prayer for the evening meal, after which everyone could chat with the tasty food that the women had foreseen.

Méthode Belanwa et sa femme ont exprimé leur volonté de fournir leur espace de vie pour construire une église de maison. Avec leurs amis encore non baptisés, ils suivaient les préparatifs tous les dimanches soirs pour commencer un baptême bientôt.
Ensemble, ils veulent former une communauté de frères et sœurs en Christ et ce fut le coup de départ officiel ce samedi.
Après la prière d’accueil et d’ouverture, Frère Marcus Ampe a donné aux jeunes la lecture de la Bible et la discussion de la Création du monde et la première commission que Dieu a donnée à l’humanité. Il a donc été fait référence à la tâche importante que nous, en tant que Christadelphe, devrions accomplir, en montrant du respect pour chaque être vivant, qu’il soit végétal, animal ou humain.
Ensuite, nous avons discuté de la façon dont nous construirions notre ecclesia à l’avenir et tiendrions des services pour servir Dieu.
Deux femmes courageuses ont osé poser des questions importantes, telles que qui conduit ou nous dicte quoi et comment nous devrions tout faire, ceci comparé à l’organe administratif des Témoins de Jéhovah ou de la Tour de Garde, et le rôle du Pape dans l‘Église catholique.
Il a été précisé que nous n’avons pas d’organe directeur ou d’organe directeur mondain, car la Congrégation Chrétienne des Témoins a son Esclave Fidèle ou le Collège central, et que nous sommes complètement indépendants ici en Belgique. Nous avons la chance de pouvoir compter sur le patronage de l’ecclésia anglaise de Newbury, qui a exprimé sa volonté de nous soutenir davantage. Tout le monde est également invité à lire ensemble de la « Sainte Bible Gros Caractères Segond -NEG », que nous avons pris comme la Bible standard pour le service. En plus de cette Bible de langue française de la « »Société Biblique de Genève » (Genfer Bibelgesellschaft), de nombreuses Bibles différentes ont été proposées, en vertu de laquelle les membres de l’ecclésia peuvent choisir d’utiliser pour les études bibliques. Ce faisant, nous avons indiqué que tout le monde est libre d’utiliser toute traduction de la Bible pour ces moments d’étude ou au-delà.
Pour le service des enfants, le choix a été fait pour « La Bible pour les enfants » publié par Mame. Mais la question a également été posée de savoir si une Bible pour enfants de langue néerlandaise pourrait également être fournie. Frère Marcus avait déjà cherché cela auparavant, mais n’avait pas encore trouvé une version solide qui gardait toujours une nette différence entre Dieu et Jésus.

La question se posait parmi les femmes sur les chants, les hymnes ou les hymnes, les cantiques et les évangiles dans nos services. Les hommes africains se sont également manifestés avec leurs souhaits qu’ils aiment la musique vivante, dans laquelle la danse joue également un rôle. Pasteur Marcus qui était un danseur de profession et a déjà pu assister à des services pleins de danse et de musique vivante dans la communauté baptiste non trinitaire, avais l’oreille pour cela et a assuré que si on pouvait trouver de la bonne musique africaine et européenne, ne témoignant jamais à la mauvaise personne, nous pourrions également l’utiliser dans le service. Frères Marcus et Steve Robinson ont assuré aux personnes présentes que dans nos services, nous utiliserions également l’excellente source de musique produite à l’Organisation Williamsburg, l’organisation musicale christadelphe, Le Chœur Christadelphe du Nord, et de nombreux groupes de musique australiens Christadelphe appartenant à Brother Marcus plusieurs Cd. Pour la musique enregistrée par le frère Peter Clausen de l’Ohio, sur le système mp3 pour le Christadelphe Hymnes nous avons encore à trouver une version française.
En tout cas, j’ai maintenant aussi la musique de Joel Lwaga dont nous utiliserons son « You are the Way » lors de notre prochaine réunion.
Il a également été cité que, comme dans les autres ecclesiae que le frère Marc va pour, il ouvrira également régulièrement le service avec un certain Psaume, comme là.

Ce serait le plus idéal si nous pouvions utiliser un bassin baptismal dans un tel bâtiment de l’église sans idoles. Dans le cas où cela ne fonctionnerait pas, il a été proposé d’avoir le baptême dans une piscine publique ou dans un bain, à condition qu’il soit encore trop froid pour un étang ou de l’eau à l’extérieur.
Nous avons pu conclure que tout le monde était très enthousiaste au sujet du début de l’ecclésia, ainsi que les bonnes perspectives d’accueillir bientôt plusieurs membres et baptisés dans notre communauté.
